DIY Farm Animal Cupcakes

Chicks, cows, and pigs have never looked sweeter

Whether you're planning a farm-themed birthday party or just looking for some cute cake-decorating inspiration, these sweet piggy cow, and chick cupcakes will delight your littles.

Pig cupcakes

Materials:
• cupcake
• white frosting
• red food coloring
• small offset spatula
• pink marshmallows
• toothpicks
• scissors
• large nonpareil sprinkles

Instructions:
1. Tint frosting pink with food coloring.
2. Frost cupcake.
3. Cut a marshmallow in half to form a nose.
4. Use a toothpick to poke to two holes in the marshmallow nose for nostrils and add a sprinkle to each hole.
5. Press marshmallow nose (cut side down) onto the frosted cupcake.
6. Snip two smaller pieces of marshmallow to form the ears; press onto the cupcake.
7. Add sprinkle eyes.

Chick cupcakes

Materials:
• cupcake
• white frosting small offset spatula
• 1 red gumdrop and 1 yellow gumdrop
• Toothpicks
• Scissors
• Large nonpareil sprinkles

Instructions:
1. Frost cupcake.
2. Cut the middle out of a red gumdrop and add to the top of the cupcake.
3. Cut a triangular piece of a yellow gumdrop and add to the face.
4. Add sprinkle eyes.

Cow cupcakes

Materials:
• cupcake
• white frosting
• small offset spatula
• black licorice coins
• pink marshmallows
• toothpicks
• scissors
• large nonpareil sprinkles

Instructions:
1. Frost cupcake.
2. Cut marshmallow in half to form the nose.
3. Use a toothpick to poke to holes in the marshmallow nose for nostrils and add a sprinkle to each hole.
4. Add nose to the cupcake (cut side down).
5. Cut licorice horns and spots and add to the cupcake.
6. Snip two smaller pieces of marshmallow to form the ears; press onto the cupcake.
7. Add sprinkle eyes to the frosting.

Small candies are not suitable for children under age three.
