  • Jungle Vine Table Runner

    DIY Tutorial:

By Hostess with the Mostess

Paper leaves are a great way to theme up your party table on a shoestring budget. This easy project utilizes simple leaf silhouettes and 2 shades of bright green for a decidedly modern look that coordinates perfectly with the Fisher-Price® Clicker Pals and other vibrant jungle animal toys!

You’ll Need:

  • Card Stock in 2 Shades of Green
  • Natural Twine
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun

1. Cut leaf shapes in 2 different sizes—the leaves used here are approximately 5" and 3.5" long. You can simply freehand cut them or trace them cut first and then cut. DIY Tutorial: Birthday Ball Garland

2. Fold the leaves in half from the bottom almost all the way to the top to create a distinct crease along the center, then open them back up. DIY Tutorial: Birthday Ball Garland DIY Tutorial: Birthday Ball Garland

3. Hot glue the leaves to twine. Use as many leaves as you need for your table size. In the example shown below, I used 16 leaves per side of the runner, for a total of 32.

Tip: For this party table, I left some space in the center of my table runner so that I could place the table centerpiece in the middle of the table and ensure that it would sit flat. The direction of the leaves on the runner were also opposite on either side of the centerpiece in order to create more of a "bookended" look. DIY Tutorial: Birthday Ball Garland
