I am in my second trimester of my first pregnancy and suddenly I have developed acne. I’ve never had it before. Is pregnancy making me more pimple-prone or is it my change in diet? What can I do to eliminate or reduce the amount of breakouts I’m getting?
Acne is quite common during pregnancy. Treatment consists of meticulously washing your face and applying certain topical medications. Speak with your obstetrician or a dermatologist regarding medications that are safe to use during pregnancy to reduce your acne. I have found that it is quite difficult to eradicate during pregnancy. However, it is certainly worth a try.
