| Turn ordinary ice cream into special snowballs that will delight the kids at snack time. |

- 1 quart vanilla low-fat frozen yogurt
- 1 cup coconut or decorative sprinkles
- 6 ice cream cones (or bowls)

- Soften the frozen yogurt slightly.
- Scoop out the yogurt into 6 round balls.
- Set the balls in the freezer on waxed paper to refreeze until firm.
- Set out plates with a layer of coconut or decorative sprinkles on them.
- Remove the snowballs from the freezer and give one to each child.
- Let them roll their snowballs in the coconut or sprinkles until the balls are completely covered.
- Set each snowball into an ice cream cone or bowl, and let the kids eat their creations.
- For added fun, give them little chocolate chips to make faces on their snowballs.

- 6 cups low-sugar apple juice
- 6 cups cranberry juice cocktail
- 6 cinnamon sticks

- Heat apple juice and cranberry juice cocktail in a saucepan.
- Allow it to cool a little so the drink isn't so hot that it burns the kids' mouths.
- Pour into fancy coffee mugs, one for each child.
- Add a cinnamon stick stirrer and tell the kids to stir their drinks with the stick.
- Let them taste the cinnamon stick and describe the flavor.
- Remove the sticks so they don't eat them or choke on them.

| Jazz up an old favorite with a little pizzazz and serve this nutritious snack when the kids run out of energy. |

- 1 cup seedless grapes, cut in half
- 1 10-ounce can mandarin orange slices, drained
- 1 8-ounce can pineapple chunks, cut up, but reserve the juice
- 1 pear, apple or 1/2 melon, cut up
- 1 sliced banana
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 cup sparkling apple cider
- 6-8 maraschino cherries

- Combine fruit in a large bowl and mix well.
- Spoon equal amounts into 6 or 8 dessert bowls.
- Combine pineapple juice, orange juice and sparkling cider in a pitcher.
- Pour the juice mixture over each bowl of fruit and stir gently.
- Top with a maraschino cherry if you like, and serve to the kids with a spoon.

- 4-6 toppings, such as cut-up strawberries, cantaloupe, bananas, blueberries, raisins, coconut, chopped nuts, and sprinkles
- 6 tablespoons low-fat, low-sugar whipped cream or topping, optional
- 6 maraschino cherries, optional
- 6 cups low-fat milk

- Pour the cereals into individual bowls and set them on the table with spoons.
- Put the toppings into individual bowls and set them on the table with spoons.
- Give each child a small bowl and let them choose which cereals they want to put in their bowls.
- Let them add some toppings.
- Fill a small bowl with whipped topping or let the kids squirt a dollop of whipped cream on top of the cereal mixture.
- Add a cherry on top, if you like.
- Set a small pitcher of milk on the table and let the kids pour milk onto their cereals.
- Give them spoons to enjoy their buffet bowls.
