Recall of 3-in-1 Cradle Swing with Detachable Carrier

Fisher-Price® 3-in-1 Cradle Swing

On April 8, 2000 Mattel voluntarily recalled the Fisher-Price 3-in-1 Cradle Swing with Detachable Carrier upon advice from Fisher-Price in the US that they were undertaking a recall after discovering a potential problem.

The 3-in-1 Cradle Swing with Detachable Carrier (model numbers 79321 and 79322) operates in three modes - as a cradle, swing and a carrier. When used as a carrier, the handle locks can unexpectedly release, causing the seat to flip forward. This can result in injury to the child. This product went on sale in Australia in November 1998 in baby specialist stores and sold for about $250. The model number (79321 or 79322) is on the underside of the motor housing and on the bottom of the seat.

If you find you have one of the affected swings please call Mattel on 1300 135 312 for advice on how to return the swing for a refund.

Recall of the Bounce 'n Play Activity Dome

On April 8, 2000 Mattel voluntarily recalled the Fisher-Price Bounce 'n Play Activity Dome (model number 79534) upon advice from Fisher-Price in the US that they were undertaking a recall after discovering a potential problem.

The Bounce 'n Play Activity Dome is a portable play and nap space and resembles a pop up tent. The nylon bands that hold the surface can detach, causing the surface to tilt. This can result in the infant sliding down against one end, posing a suffocation hazard. This product went on sale in Australia in August 1999 in mass merchandise, toy specialist and baby specialist stores and sold for about $110. Model number 79534 is on the left side of the tag, on the bottom of the product.

If you find you have one of the affected swings please call Mattel on 1300 135 312 for advice on how to return the swing for a refund.
