About Imagination
At this stage, your child is discovering how things work and imitating what they see others do.
Using the shifter to pretend to rev up the engines (complete with sound effects!)
Inviting others to join in the play (“You be the red driver, I’ll be the blue driver. Let’s race!”)
Deciding whether to pull over in the pit stop area, or finish the race and collect the trophy!
This imaginative stage lets your child be the “director” of the action, making all the decisions and even including others in the play. Imagining helps a child think things through, which is great preparation for learning. |
