Puffed Wheat Kisses

Materials

  • Child's blunt-tip safety scissors
  • Paper
  • Marker
  • Puffed Wheat Cereal Treats
  • Funnel
  • Cooking spray
  • 12-inch square of aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Cut the paper into 8 1/2-by-1-inch strips.
  2. Write or have your child write a Valentine’s Day message on each strip of paper.
  3. Make a batch of Puffed Wheat Treats and let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. Spray the inside of a funnel with cooking spray.
  5. Press the mixture into the funnel to form it into the shape of a chocolate candy kiss.
  6. Gently remove the cereal kiss and place it flat side down on the foil.
  7. Pull the corners of the foil up around the kiss.
  8. Insert a paper strip so half the strip sticks out the top of the kiss.
  9. Twist the foil ends at the top.
  10. This recipe makes 6–8 large kisses.
  11. If you like, use Crispy Rice Treats instead of Puffed Wheat Treats to make Crispy Rice Kisses.
