Scented Shamrocks

Materials

  • Child's blunt-tip safety scissors
  • Construction paper
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue
  • 1 box green gelatin mix
  • Empty saltshaker or spice container
  • Paintbrush
  • Hole punch and ribbon or string (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut a shamrock shape from the construction paper.
  2. Have your child paint glue all over the cut-out.
  3. Pour the gelatin mix into the shaker and sprinkle the powder on the glue.
  4. Shake off any excess powder and let the glue dry.
  5. Use the shamrock as a greeting card, or punch a hole in its top, loop ribbon or string through the hole, and hang it from a doorknob or picture hook.
