- Colored construction paper
- Rubber bands
Instructions
- Let your child paint popsicle sticks in assorted colors.
- When the sticks are dry, have him use them in the following ways:
- Mix up the sticks and sort them into piles by color.
- Lay out colored construction paper. Match the sticks to the paper by color.
- Count the sticks that have been sorted by color. Place the piles of sticks in order from fewest to most.
- Use rubber bands to group the sticks by twos, fives, and tens. Practice counting by twos, fives, and tens.
Safety
Only use rubber bands with children over 3 years of age.
