Let the kids make clay or dough leaf prints to celebrate the coming of autumn.
Materials
- Homemade or store-bought non-toxic play dough or clay
- Leaves
- Small rolling pins or round dowels

Instructions
- Buy or make play dough. (To make play dough, mix 4 cups flour, 1 cup salt, and 1 3/4 cups water and knead with your hands. Add food coloring if desired.)
- Divide up the dough so you have enough for each child.
- Go out and collect leaves from the yard or have them ready ahead of time.
- Show the children how to roll out the dough or pat it flat.
- Demonstrate how to press the leaves into the dough to make an imprint.
- Save the leaf prints or let the kids try other objects to make imprints.
