Will a dislocated pelvis affect my delivery?
Q: A few years ago I had an accident and dislocated my pelvis. I still have problems with it. Will that affect the way I deliver?

I have seen a few patients with dislocated pelvises. In most cases they didn’t have any problems with a vaginal delivery. I can recall one case in which the patient had a misshapen pelvis because of a fracture. In conjunction with her orthopedic surgeon we decided to perform a cesarean section.
If you have other concerns about how your pelvis may affect your delivery, share them with your obstetrician.
