As you’ll have noticed on rainy days when your child has been confined to playing indoors, if his daily child play doesn’t allow him to release his boundless energy he looks like he might ‘explode’! Without regular bouts of boisterous activity he becomes restless, fidgety and finds it hard to concentrate. To get the most out of his quiet play make sure you make time for him to ‘let off steam’; it will also help his physical development, to learn orientation skills, perfect his motor skills and build friendships.

It strengthens his muscles and lungs and gets the blood pumping around his heart and he will need little encouragement to enjoy these quick bouts of activity!
