Although it can be very messy, children’s bath-time and their play with water offers them endless learning opportunities. Your baby can splash in it, pour it, soak it up in a sponge or capture it in a jug. She will enjoy splashing in puddles or playing at the kitchen sink but the best way for her to learn is bath-time.
Children’s bath-times are one of the first ways in which a baby learns that she can make things happen. As your baby splashes about in her bath she feels her arms and legs moving and the water moving around then, when she pauses, everything becomes still again.
