The joys of being a grandparent. Ahhh! Yes, I must say, how grand it is to be a grandparent. You get to act like a kid again. They not only give you energy, they fill your heart with unconditional love. They put me in a daze, one that makes me want to put this picture on hold. Such precious moments you wish could last forever. I have four grandchildren and they make my world. Just when you think you have nothing to do, because your own children have grown up, well … think again. Grandchildren give you purpose in life. I thank the Llord everyday for being blessed with all four. Only wish they wouldn’t grow up. Love the hugs, kisses and the games we learn and play together. The love of being a grandma fills my heart joy.
-Yvonne, Granma to four
My three little granddaughters are the loves of my life. I never knew that so much love could come from and be given to such wonderful gifts from God. There is nothing else in the world so grand as those girls. Thank you, God.
-Sherrie, Mawmaw to three
I wish I had been told that I will love my grandchildren with all the love I had for my own, but without feelings of the responsibility. When my first granddaughter was born, I was absolutley overwhelmed. I didn't expect such a hurricane of unbridled, "free" love.
-Rebecca, Oma to two
Better then being a parent … love being a grandparent.
-Pat, Gammy, Nana and Pappy to two
Each and every time I visit any of them, my fears, anger, problems, all disappear. When I leave, I relive those precious sayings, steps, cute dances, everything about the children is wonderful. Experiencing being a grandparent is truly a rewarding and sometimes exhausting time. But, you will never regret one moment of time with them.
-Debbie, Memere to three
I love my grands, so much. There are some far away. I wish that I could see them more. When I see my grands, I try hard to make all the memories that I can. Can't say enough about my grands!
