No, I do not text with my grandkids. They are too young to text (ages 9, 6 and two 3-year-olds) and their parents don't like that, but I do make an effort to send them each a "personal card" directly to their home U.S. mailbox (not e-mail). Sometimes I even enclose a "love" dollar or two for them to spend as they like. They all get excited to see some mail addressed just for them among the mail for Mom and Dad! My oldest granddaughter actually stands by the mailbox at the driveway and waits for the mail truck to come down the street!

I am friends on Facebook with our two oldest grandchildren, as they live many miles away. I really enjoy Facebook because it gives us a chance to see new pictures of all of them and keep in touch with them. I am not very fond of the texting as I find it very distracting. People are doing this no matter where they are and I think it is quite rude, especially when you are trying to have a conversation with them.

Yes, I text my older grandkids -- 9, 15 & 16 -- and I am friends with them on My Space and Facebook. Sometimes my 3-year-old gets on my daughter's and thinks she is talking to me. Love them all!
