I just love reading to my three-year-old grandson. Any type of book will do, as he seems to like everything! He likes books where he can feel different surfaces and ones in which he can open or close different types of objects. Since we live three hours away and don't see him as often as we'd like, we sometimes read books that can record my voice, so that I can read to him even when I'm not there. I also gave him some old books, such as the classic Dr. Seuss books, that were his father's from when he was little. I love reading and hope to pass the love of reading on to my grandchildren.

All four of my grandchildren love to share books with me, and it's a time when we can snuggle up close and spend time together. For one granddaughter, I read the Karen Katz book, My Grandma and Me every time we are together; however, I changed all the "grandmas" to "Mimi" using the computer. She loves that it's personalized!

My great-grandson and I have been reading together since he was several months old. I started with rhythmical board books and books I could sing to him, and now we also read longer books about love between babies and their parents, friends, etc. He will remember the name of a book after reading it once, and asks to read it again the next time we're together.

I love reading the book, Love You Forever by Robert N. Munsch and Sheila McGraw, to my 3-week-old granddaughter, Braylin. The words flow so smoothly and are so melodic that they capture her attention even at this young age. I want her to develop a love for reading as deep as my own.

I love reading to my three granddaughters. They especially love The Monster at the End of this Book. I act out Grover's voice whether he's whispering or shouting. Now my oldest granddaughter Meredith, who is 6, is starting to read to me, and that is so special too. We love cuddling on the couch, spending time together and fostering a joy of reading and love of books.

Caps for Sale is one of my favorite books to read to younger grandchildren. It keeps their interest and has interesting illustrations.
