Frustration My 3 almost 4 year old daughter loves her doll house, she loves the room accessories, she loves all of the family members, however the Loving Family Minivan has been nothing but frustration for her (and me). The doors have fallen off everytime she has played with it (and that is everyday). I have had to reattached the doors mulitiple times a day and now the hinges are broken and the van drives around without doors. My daughter has been so upset that she has cried over this toy. Fisher Price has ALWAYS had fantastic, quality toys, however, this van has fallen short of that. December 8, 2012
cute my daughter was given this car for her 4th birthday and loved it because of the fun noises it made and the fact that her loving family could now go on road trips however the doors have been an issue.unless you are very carefull they do come off and after several times of putting them back on ,one of the hinges has broken. it is upsetting that something intended for children is not sturdy enough for every day play! my daughter still loves it ,she just uses the passenger side door all the time now. An ok purchase My daughter loves the van but the doors do fall off much more than they should. My daughter will stop everything until we can get the doors back on which is rather annoying when it happens a couple times in the same day. The music is a little loud but I put a piece of masking tape over the speaker to lessen the sound a little. My daughter does love the music and driving the family around. One thing that personally annoys me is the babies should be in rear facing car seats. They are clearly under 1 which is the absolute minimum for forward facing. My daughter mentioned once that the babies weren't safe and I told her "I know but it is just pretend." October 13, 2012
THOSE DARN DOORS!!!!! FP, my girls absolutely LOVE this car and all the Loving Family stuff they have but I tell you what, THOSE DARN DOORS drive me nuts. I can't tell you how many times I have had to pop them back on, probably tops out at about 10-12 times in one day. This is probably one of their favorite toys b/c it reminds them of our van but I sure wish you would have kid tested it and if you did, those kids weren't rough enough on it b/c those doors pop off at the drop of a hat.
