Rated 1 out of 5 by BAD QUALITY We have the bigger one, and use it all the time. It has reached the point where we need another one. It lasted quite a while, and was much better quality than this one. I got this for our trip to CA- for the plane ride. Right out of the package, I thought something was wrong with it, or it was defective. First of all, the swiper on the bottom to erase, took like 10 times to "erase"-- I was expect 1-2 swipes, like the other one. And, it did not even erase, and this was the first time I wrote on it- so it's not wear....disappointed. I expected more from Fisher-Price. December 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for Travel This was a gift for my son for his second birthday. He already had a larger doodler so I was skeptical of this toy at first. It has turned out to be a nice toy for us. It has been great in the car for him to play with. The quality is not quite what I would expect for a fisher price toy. It just feels cheap and like it could break if my son was hard enough on it. So far its held up though. June 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Still fun after 3 years and a second child I'm writing in response to the previous review. We got this product for my then 3-year-old son to play with during a long flight. We all loved it and spend countless hours playing with it ever since. Now our 2nd child, who is 18 months old, discovered the Doodle, and we can't keep it away from her! I and my son are taking turns drawing things for the baby, and she can scribble on it herself too. Yes, the pixels are not very granular, but this has never been an issue for us. I'm sure there are finer products out there, but they are all very big and are not very useful for travel. This toy withstood 3 years of abuse from a rough-on-toys boy, which I think it's pretty good! Yesterday, my son finally managed to crack the drawing surface. I will be buying a replacement today, because we'll be going yet on another long flight soon, and wouldn't want to be cooped up on a plane for 6 hours without our beloved Doodle! A note to Fisher-Price: my son is a lefty, and though he manages ok to draw on the Doodle (we always use it horizontally), it would've been useful for the cord to be just a bit longer. Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality We got this for Christmas for our daughter as she plays with the one at the local library each time that we go there. The magnetic pixels (for lack of a better term) don't fully erase and by 2 days in there were permanent dark spaces on the board. Also, the pixels are so big that sometimes you can't really tell what you are drawing. There are better ones out there, and I'm disappointed that Fisher-Price released such a bad quality product. P.S. - yes, I know that she is not of the recommended age for this product, but this review is about the product itself. My 18 month old is more than capable of using it and is interested in it, but the one at the library is better quality. January 8, 2013
