Q:
My daughter is 32 months old and still cutting her teeth. She has four more left to come in. It has taken all of them awhile to come through the gums. I was just a little concerned because several children her age have all of their teeth.
A:
Your question is a common one, but it sounds like your daughter is right on schedule. Children usually have 20 teeth in by the age of 3. However, there is a difference in timing from child to child. While we have general guidelines, there may be up to a year's difference between two children—and both are still considered within the range of normal eruption times.
