My granddaughter is 5 months old and has cut her eyeteeth before any other teeth. Should we be concerned? She seems to be teething in the back portion of her mouth.
A:
Sometimes children are different in the eruption sequence of their teeth. Still, I would suggest that you make an appointment with a pediatric dentist to have this evaluated, as there may be a reason the incisors are not coming in first. The eyeteeth may be extra teeth or misplaced teeth.
