Fetal movement can be felt anywhere between 16 and 24 weeks of pregnancy. First-time moms don't recognize the subtle butterfly or gas-pain sensations as movements, but for the more seasoned, they know these are their baby's first movements. When I ask my patients, first-time moms usually tell me they feel the baby after the 18th week. If the baby hasn't moved by 24 weeks, you should speak with your doctor.
