Can expectant moms water ski?

Physicians are very conservative when it comes to sports with a potential for sudden trauma. Obvious examples such as football, rugby and boxing should be avoided while pregnant. Water skiing also poses a potential for sudden impact. In the early part of pregnancy, the first 10 to 12 weeks, the baby is still very well protected from your activities by the surrounding pelvic bones. Once the uterus peeks above this safety zone, any sort of blunt force can injury the baby.

I think this is a good summer to drive the boat. You can be back on skis after your baby is born.
