What to do about a child’s chipped tooth
A: Eight months ago my 3-year-old fell in the bathtub and chipped her front tooth. I called my dentist, who suggested watching it since it wasn’t loose or hadn’t moved. I have noticed it darkening to gray over the last few months. After her first dental visit the dentist recommended watching for signs of an abscess, such as a blister in the gums above the tooth. Should we get a second opinion?
