Errand Time-Saver
So many errands, so little time! To help you get on with your life, our “cheat sheet” gives you the best times of day to do everything from seeing your doctor to shopping.

Schedule a Doctor’s Appointment:
Ask for the first one of the day. If you’re at the top of the scheduling book it practically guarantees you’ll be seen on time. Physicians often use lunchtime to catch up, so you’ll also avoid a long wait if you book the first appointment after lunch.

Fill a Prescription:
Visit the pharmacy before 3 p.m. on weekdays, when the store is less busy.

Visit the Post Office or Bank:
Try to arrive an hour after it opens to avoid morning rush. Busiest times are around lunchtime or just before closing.

Return Purchases:
Most experienced salespeople work the day shift and will be able to assist you most efficiently. If you can get there less than an hour after it opens, all the better.

Shop:
The least crowded time to shop is first thing in the morning or during dinnertime, when most people are headed home. Grocery stores tend to be less crowded in the middle of the week.
