My daughter’s parochial school teacher recommended that she repeat first grade. However, the teacher at the school where she attends special ed for learning disabilities recommends that she go on. That school’s district manager said special needs kids are rarely held back; special needs don’t go away. I can’t decide whether she should attend a charter school with on-site special ed, the public school where she received special ed or repeat first grade in the school she loves. She has an IQ of 110 and is number four of six, soon to be seven. She’s thoughtful and loving, and she loves the outdoors.
