Q:
I feel like I'm feeding my 1-year-old the same food again and again. What are some safe foods she can eat at this age?
A:
Amanda, there's nothing she can't try, except for chocolate, which is not recommended for kids until they're 2. You want to make sure that whatever you offer won't cause her to choke. Make sure all meats and veggies are cut into very small bits that she can safely swallow. Then, let her choose what she wants to try. This is the best way to introduce variety into a child's diet, all the while teaching her independence and individual feeding skills.
