Budding Illustrator

Making a book with your grandchild is a fun way to encourage a child who likes to write or illustrate stories. Choose one of the following materials to begin creating your grandchildamp;#39;s story.

Materials

  • paper stapled together inside a construction paper cover
  • a small notebook with blank pages
  • inexpensive scrapbook
  • three-ring binder with plastic page protectors
  • hand-bound journal with blank pages

Instructions

  • Let your grandchild write a story (or dictate a story for you to write) along the bottom of each page and illustrate it with crayons, coloured pencils, or washable markers.
